WHAT IS THIS CA15-3 BLOOD TEST?

This glycoprotein with high molecular weight is released mainly by breast carcinoma cells. Quantitative measurement in serum is useful in monitoring breast cancer treatment. In 2020, female breast cancer surpassed lung cancer, occupying the first place in incidence among cancer diseases and being the 5th cause of death from cancer.

How long do the results take?

The target turnaround time is 1-3 working days. Then, the turnaround time is a guide only and will sometimes depend upon assay run schedules.

However, please take your sample from Monday to Thursday to avoid delivery delays at the lab. 

Sample management starts at home. So, please send your sample immediately and do not leave it at home for many hours or days. Therefore, you will destroy the piece and have to be redone.

You can take a sample at one of the Clinics near you. Please do that as it is after your results. Also, there are 3 Clinics in London. Finally, choose the nearest to you. Finally, please make sure the sample is managed properly.
